After Philippine got positive of ASF, Taiwan have imposed more strict inspection from Philippines passengers



Taoyuan, Taiwan- Starting 4:00 pm this afternoon, September 9, 2019. Taiwan government will imposed more strict inspections in all incoming visitors from the Philippines. And will be listed from the countries with huge fine ranging from NT$200,000 to NT$1 million.

After the Department of Agriculture in the Philippines William Dar confirmed that the country have been positive of the African Swine Fever on the sample they sent to Europe for testing last month. The Philippines is the eight country in South East Asia and the latest in the world that have been infected by the virus.

All visitors are subject to more strict checking of luggages and hand carries. If a passenger found bringing pork, first penalty of NT$200,000 and for second offense NT$1 million. Failure to pay will not be allowed to enter in the country.
