New research about Hornsnails (Susong Bangongon) can treat cancer cells

   Some snails are edible and good to eat. In some provinces in the Philippines, there are plenty of snails and could be perfect for meals. This yummy and healthy dish can be cook with this simple ingredients the coconut milk, onion, ginger and add leaves of malunggay then its already a perfect dish. And just by sipping you will have the delicious meat.

According to research, the edible snails contains proteins, copper, zinc ,vitamins B and folate which good for muscles development and has low fat. One of the well-known edible snail is the horn snails or called “susong bangongon.”

And we have a good news from the University of the Philippines (UP) because they have been through a research about horn snails in which they discovered that it contains a chemical properties that can prevent cancer cells. The extracts of this snails can prevent angiogenesis the formation of blood vessels from existing one. This is the mechanism of growth cancer cells into our body. They discover that the horn snails contains antingiogenic or prevent cancer cells because it has sterols or steroidal compound.

If research passes, it will be a great help to everyone. And it already our advantage because snails are just everywhere.

Always remember  " Prevention is better than cure." It's important to be aware into our self so we keep a healthy body.
