73 distressed OFW were repatriated from UAE

Yesterday, 73 Filipino workers returned home met by the Department of Foreign Affair and his family after repartriated them from the country of UAE.

In an FB post by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Arriola she said they were not tired of helping Filipino workers to get home in the Philippines when they were having problems abroad.

In the past month, the UAE also sent 158 ​​workers to the Philippines because they were either victims of illegal recruiters for using short-term visit visas promised to be issued by working visa.

The DFA regularly warns Filipino workers not to accept jobs if they are improper visas because undocumented papers and illegal workers are more prone to abuse.

Since January 2019, 4,800 OFW records have been returned to the Philippines from the UAE.
