A ‘habal-habal’ driver offered free rides to students from LRT-2 Santolan to Cubao station, All he wanted is a prayer for his five-year-old son Marcus, who has been in the hospital for three days.

These will help specially to those student who apparently need to ride LRT,  as of now temporary shutdown due to the train system’s operations.

This is kuya Mike

Amidst the hellish commute in manila and the high demand of public utility vehicles, he willingly helps students by driving them to cubao station for free. I was one of the lucky ones who saw him while waiting an hour in santolan station for a puv. He said he doesn't want students to be late and also this would be his good deed so the Lord will cure his son, Marcus, who has been in the hospital for 3 days. I insisted on paying him or even opening a fund raising account for their hospital bills, but he rejected me multiple times. He said all he wants is a prayer for his son.

So to my family and friends, please say a prayer to little Marcus(5yo) as a thank you to kuya Mike.

College student Mondea Eulanne T. Reyes  said she had been waiting for a jeepney or bus ride for an hour in front of Santolan station when he saw motorcyle driver Michael Vinuya.

"That time when I'm waiting that's the time i saw a motorcycle have a signed free rides" Reyes told CNN Philippines.

Reyes said she felt really lucky since she might have missed some of her midterm exams at her school, Far Eastern University, if she wasn’t able to get a ride that morning.

"I feel like his a blessing in disguise to me, because  before I saw him, I prayed that I would never be late," Reyes added.

The student said she insisted on paying Vinuya but he rejected her many times.

All he wanted is a prayer for his five-year-old son Marcus, who has been in the hospital for three days.

“He said he doesn't want students to be late and also this would be his good deed so the Lord will cure his son,” Reyes said.

“So to my family and friends, please say a prayer to little Marcus as a thank you to Kuya Mike,” she added.
