Impact of Acid Reflux on our body and how to prevent it

Acid reflux is a common condition that causes burning pain in the lower chest area.  It is also known as heartburn, pyrosis or acid indigestion.  Acid reflux is felt when the acidic stomach contents return to the esophagus.

The effect of having acid reflux can make you feel a sour and bitter taste in your mouth that can cause nausea.  In some cases, GERD can cause difficulty in swallowing.  It can also lead to respiratory problems such as asthma and cough.

On the other hand there are some activities to prevent acid reflux.  These are:

1. Take aloe vera juice and apple cider vinegar as they contain enzymes that are good for digestion.

2. Drink slowly in a glass of water mixed with two tablespoons baking soda.

3. After eating, avoid lying down or lying down for a moment.

4. When sleeping you need to turn left and slightly higher in head.

5. Avoid foods or drinks that can cause acid reflux such as citrus fruits, dairy products like milk and cheese, spicy and sour foods, and caffeine-based drinks such as softdrinks and coffee.

The liver and gall bladder of our body is positioned on its right side.  If it turns left it releases fluids down the stomach, which helps to neutralize the acids.
