387 Vietnamese and Indonesians were arrested for overstaying in Taiwan

   387 people from Vietnam and Indonesia was arrested for overstaying in Taiwan on October 19, 2019, according to The National Immigration Agency (NIA).

  Central News Agency reported that the Coast Guard and The Ministry of Justice Investigation and the 687 agents of NIA went looking for people who had stay longer than the law allowed.

  They found 240 unaccounted for Foreign Workers, that include 122 Indonesians and 112 Vietnamese. 82 of those hailing is from Vietnam and 51 from Indonesia and 147 people had overstayed their visa.
    According to the CNA report, there was also 140 Taiwanese arrested that are an illegal employer and 35 were employment broker.

  The NIA said that they encourage all illegals to show up and pay a fine of ranging from NT$2,000 (US$65) to NT$10,000 after that they will receive assistance to return back to their homeland.

   The National Immigration Agency (NIA) warns the employers to follow the law because they might fine up to NT$750,000 according to CNA report.
