Taiwan can now enjoy exporting guava to United States after approved

Taipei - As the relationship between the two countries continues, the U.S. and Taiwan.  This Thursday Oct.  17, 2019 The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that guava fruits from Taiwan have been approved for export to the United States.

The results of the Pest Risk Assessment (PRA) and Risk Management Documents (RMD) were published by the Department on Dec.  14, 2018 for it to be reviewed in the Federal Register within 60 days.  But this Thursday it issued a notice in the Federal Register that the U.S. is deciding to allow importation of fresh guava fruit from Taiwan.

According to the CNA report, the decision was made in Taiwan and this is the second country that the U.S. has allowed to export guava to the U.S.  market. The Taiwan Council of Agriculture (TCA) expects Taiwan to launch its first air shipment of their product to the U.S by the end of this year.
