Man killed his family in an apartment at Taichung, Taiwan

Taichung, a news gathered in the media this morning Nov.8 that man were arrested on suspicion of murdering his family in an apartment at Taichung, Taiwan.

Neighbors of the said apartment complained to the police Thursday last night Nov. 7 due to a strong odor emanating from a studio apartment on Guangfu Road in the Central District of Taichung.  When authorities entered the home, they found the decomposed bodies of a 29-year-old girl and the twins with 10-month-old of age

According to the CNA report, police identified the woman as surname Chen and the twin boys were her children.  Base to the investigation the victim was previously married to a man called Tien who lives in Mingjian Township of Nantou Country where he now has 8-year-old and 7-year-old daughters.

After divorcing the two, Chen moved to Taichung City to work and gave birth to twins in her womb who are reported to be the son of another man.

Former couple Chen and Tien were previously reported to the Nantou Country Government's Department of Social Welfare in cases of child abuse in 2015 and domestic violence in 2017. Department of Social Welfare Director Lin Chih-chung told CNA  that after receiving the reports the social workers immediately took care of the case and immediately closed the case when everyone was in stable condition.

After Chen's divorce, she soon had a new relationship with a man also known by the surname Chen and she became pregnant.  Chen gave birth a twin boys and they were born this year.

After police discovered the corpse on Thursday, police immediately conducted a search operation on the man that has a relationship  with the victim.  And the suspect found them this Friday around 11am at Changhua's internet cafe.

According to the report, police officers arrested the suspect and took him to the station for further questioning and the suspect admitted that they had a dispute with the victim and that he lost his temper and emotions and killed him following their twins child.

According to police the crime happened three days ago.  They reviewed surveillance video footage and police noticed that the suspect returned to the apartment after estimating his homicide time.

According to the UDN report, after police identified the license plate in surveillance camera footage they identified the suspect as well as the crime scene's residence.  Police also said they had to conduct a DNA test to confirm that the real father of the twins was the suspect because according to household registration the listed father was Tien.
