Typhoon Ramon intensifies Signal No.1 in 3 areas of the Philippines

Manila, Philippines - Typhoon Ramon has hit three areas of the Philippines as Signal no.  1 this Wednesday Nov.  13. It slows down slightly and moves northwest.

By 5 a.m. the severe weather had intensified.  The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) says Signal No.  1 will be experienced in three provinces in the Philippines.  These are Catanduanes, Sorsogon and Camarines Sur, Albay.  Light to moderate with occasional heavy rainfall is experienced in these three areas.

While light to moderate with a series of heavy rains is expected in the Camarines Norte, Masbate, Northern Samar and Eastern Samar areas.

Typhoon Ramon was last observed at 4am on Wednesday at 515 kilometers East of Borongan, East Samar with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center, and gusts of up to 70 kph and moving West Northwest at 15 kph.

PAGASA has already raised Signal No.  1 in Camarines Sur, Sorsogon and in other towns of Northern Samar.

Because of hurricanes Ramon is also at risk for ocean travel, especially for small sea crafts, on the shores of Northern Luzon, and for the Eastern seaboards of Central and South Luzon due to overcoming or estimating rough conditions of the sea.

Typhoon Ramon is expected to intensify as a tropical storm in the next 24 hours.

Areas in Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the Administrative Region of Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light rain as the storm is localized.

Metro Manila covers temperatures of 24-30 degrees celsius;  21-28 degree celsius in Tuguegarao;  14-21 degrees in Baguio City;  25-32 degrees in Metro Cebu and 25-34 degree celsius in Metro Davao.
