A OFW in Hong Kong found hanging in her room


A report was reported in Hong Kong news that one Filipino domestic helper was found hanged and unconscious in her employer's home in Kowloon on Saturday (Nov. 30).

A Police Public Relations Bureau (PPRB) spokeswoman said a 45-year-old Filipino worker named Jamer was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kowloon on Saturday night.  According to her, the Filipino helper was reported to be having problems with her family.

About 8:15 p.m the employer of helper named Chak call the police and reported the incident happened to their house on Saturday night.

According to Jamer's employer's story to the police, they found their helper inside her bedroom which was located at 7 King Tak Street Quarry Hill.  The employer also claimed that her helper used a cut electric wire and tied it around her neck.  When they saw it, they immediately remove the tie and brought her down. The ambulance team are immediately rushed the helper to Queen Elizabeth Hospital who was still unconscious but when they arrived at the hospital it was immediately reported that the helper was dead on arrival.

Police did not find any suicide note from the helper, according to a police spokeswoman. On initial investigations revealed that there was nothing suspicious about the death of the Filipino helper.  It is just a case of a person being found guilty of committing suicide.  An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death of the helper.
