Another OFW died in Kuwait return her remain in the Philippines

Aside from Jeanelyn Villavende who was allegedly killed by her employer, another Pinay in Kuwait will be return her body in the Philippines because she's already died.

According to the report of GMA News "Saksi" this Wednesday, Vice Consul Adrian Audrey Baccay told that the OFW named Maryjoy Tajo was died before New Years Eve after she being hit by an Egyptian motorcycle. Tajo was still rushed to the hospital but she was unable to survive. The suspect who hit her is also brought to the hospital

According to Baccay, they will get a lawyer because the family of Maryjoy dont have any money to pay for ensuring that they will achieve the justice they seek.

The official added that Tajo's remains will be returned to the country within this week.

Meanwhile, the emotions of the mourning relatives met Villavende's remain to return home, allegedly killed by her employer in Kuwait.

Administration Hans Cacdac of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration assured that the Villavende's family will be recieved a benefits because she will be an active member of the OWWA.

The Justice department will also provide all legal support to Villavende's family.

Right now, the Philippines' partial ban on sending OFWs to Kuwait still exists, and will remain until the justice for the victim's death is granted.

Cacdac also criticized Kuwait's alleged change of position over the previous agreement to protect OFWs working in their country.

The Kuwaiti side has changed their mind. They say they do not need a separate contract. It is just a standard contract for all migrant workers in Kuwait. No special contract is needed for Filipinos.  This is because we have a May 2018 agreement, the official added.
