Death toll rises to 54 due to Wuhan Corona Virus, Philippines suspended all flights to Wuhan

The Philippines is suspending all direct flights to Wuhan, China due to the 2019 Corona Virus that came from China.

The new nCoV has killed 54 people in China as of January 26, 2020, with 300 more new infected. The virus spread easily from person to person contact such as hugging, kissing, sharing utensils, sneeze or cough near someone else's face.

On a report said on Friday, to prevent the spread of the virus in the Philippines, suspending flights from China is the best solution. The decision reached by the Civil and Aeronautics Board, Department of Health Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and other airline companies.

Health Undersecretary Erik Domingo said the flight crew must be aware to the passengers if they are showing symptoms that they are sick and report to the Bureau of Quarantine. He added, that they need to maintain the passenger's locator records.

Based on the report, in Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the passengers need to go through the scanner. In Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), they are using heat sensors. Personnel and passengers need to wear face masks.
