Philippines increase the rank in world most powerful passport ranking


In the data of London based consultancy firm who tracks the number of destinations, the Philippines has increased in the rank for the world's most powerful passport ranking.
 
  Because of the global ranking where the Philippines is in the 76th spot, the Philippine passport holder is now allowed to travel to 67 destinations for a visa - free according to 2020 Henley Passport Index.

  The Philippine travel document was now improved its ranking. The countries who include in the ranking are Singapore (2nd), Malaysia (13th), Brunei (23rd), Thailand (65th) and Indonesia (72nd).

  On the report provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) who maintains the world’s largest and the most accurate database of travel information, Japan got the top spot.

   The Japanese people can travel to 191 hassle-free destinations because they remain as the world's most powerful passport holder for 3 consecutive years.
  In the global ranking, another Asian country like South Korea also ranked at number 3.

   The chairman of Henley & Partners and the inventor of the passport index concept Dr Christian H. Kaelin said because of "Asian countries’ dominance of the top spots is a clear argument for the benefits of open-door policies and the introduction of mutually beneficial trade agreements". He also added that "Over the past few years, we have seen the world adapt to mobility as a permanent condition of global life. The latest rankings show that the countries that embrace this reality are thriving, with their citizens enjoying ever-increasing passport power and the array of benefits that come with it. "

    At the moment Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the index in 107th spot with visa-free who can visit only 26 destinations.
