COVID-19 Worldwide death toll climbs to 41,072

Coronavirus confirmed fatalities worldwide climbs to 41,072, this is according to the tally complied by the AFP, as of Tuesday.

Since the pandemic broke out in China last December 2019, 186 countries and territories already been affected and suffering from the effect of the virus. More than 828,240 of confirmed cases recorded and at least 164,900 are now considered recovered from the virus.

The tallies, using data collected by AFP offices from national authorities and information from the World Health Organization (WHO), probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections.

The past 24 hours brought 4,396 more deaths -- 849 of them in Spain, 837 in Italy and 612 in the United States -- while 70,404 new cases emerged.
