DTI will offer a loan to micro and small businesses amid covid-19

MANILA - Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Mon Lopez said on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 that the department will offer a loan amounting to P5,000 to P500,000 to micro and small businesses that were affected due to Extreme Enhanced Community in Luzon amid COVID-19.

The montly interest is 0.5% and will be payable in two to three years. On the first three to six months the dues will not be collected to help business owners. This loan will be offered to micro and small businesses, including those who bought a car loan for Grab services, and carinderias, Lopez said.

"Kapag over P3 million, small business iyon. Ito iyong maliliit na grocery, talyer at iba pang negosyo na walang kita [ngayong enhanced community quarantine]," he added.
