JUST IN: Valenzuela City now has 2 positive cases of COVID-19

Two new confirmed cases in Valenzuela this Sunday. This was confirmed  by City Mayor.

JUST IN: As of March 22, 2020, Valenzuela City now has 2 positive cases of COVID-19. Patient No. 2 is a 50-year-old woman who works in Makati, consulted in a private major hospital outside Valenzuela City after experiencing symptoms and was diagnosed with Bilateral Pneumonia. The patient has no travel history outside the country. Her condition has improved and was given the go signal to get discharged from the hospital to continue strict home quarantine, following the DOH guidelines. 

The Valenzuela City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit have done the necessary measures such as contact tracing and they are closely monitoring this case and the identified close contacts.

Just to clarify, there’s no community transmission yet in the city. Patient no. 1 and patient no. 2 are not related cases, both cases contracted COVID-19 outside Valenzuela City.
