Filipino domestic workers in Malaysia are appealing to Philippine government to send them food, according to them as foreigners in the said country they're not on the list of priority of the government to be allowed to buy stuff in grocery stores.
OFWs in Malaysia have sent an appeal to Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar.
They said buying food has been difficult for foreigners after Malaysia extended the strict lockdown as it battles COVID-19.
Foreigners are always last in long lines at grocery stores, and when their turn comes, food shelves are almost empty, the OFWs said.
They are asking the government to allow the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia to deliver food for them as they are in dire need for food.
Malaysia has extended its tight lockdown until April 14, 2020.
